I know, I know, you're thinking to yourself "Tell me something I don't know, Skuncle".
APEC: Isn't it amazing that the govt. was using taxpayers funds to defend itself against taxpayers? And isn't it funny that they initially refused to pick up the bill for those same taxpayers? And what the hell were they doing pepper-spraying student protesters anyway? Talk about Banana Republics! Last time I looked, Canada was still a free country.
GST: Also, it seems funny to me how the Liberals got into power by promising to abolish the GST, and then Cretien had the gall to say that we couldn't hold him to that because, after all, "It was only an election promise".
And then there's the Unemployment Insurance. They pissed and moaned about the fact that it was titters, and so raised the premiums and changed the name to "Employment Insurance". Then they changed the rules on eligability, thereby making it nearly impossible to recieve, then, last year, they announced a surplus of somewhere in the neighbourhood of five billion dollars. They then patted themselves on the back and agonized about how to spend this windfall. HEY, YOU! THAT'S MY MONEY!!!
Notice that I diddn't include the Partie Quebecois in my list at the top? That's because I wanted to devote a special section to them. Suffice it to say that those clowns are lucky that they diddn't get hanged for treason. I mean, really, pledging allegence to the canadian flag as the official opposition, while being the architects of seperation. And that pissed-up guy that they had as a leader. Come on Quebec, wake up. Without the rest of Canada to support you, you will be a dutchy of the US before you can say "Maple syrup"!
